Apple jam lid cover
End all rounds with a sl st in the upper mask in the first chain.
Round 1 (white): Ch 4 and crochet 11 dc in the first stitch of the 4 ch.
Round 2 (white): Ch 3, 1 dc. Crochet 2 dc in each stitch.
Round 3 (white): Ch 3. Crochet "1 dc in one stitch, 2 dc in a stitch" all the way around.
Round 4 (dark green): Repeat round 3, just in dark green.
Insert more rounds like round 4, if the patch is not large enough to cover the top of the lid.
Round 5 (dark green): ch 1, then sc in each stitch all the way around. In order to get a nice edge, you can crochet in the back stitches from the previous round. This round can be omitted.
Round 6 (light green): Crochet 3 ch and then 1 dc in every stitch
Round 7 (white): repeat round 6 in white
Round 8 (dark green): crochet ch 3 and then 2 dc in each stitch.
Insert string (eg 2 cotton threads, a long string of single chains, etc.) in round 7 and fit the glass.
Applicate an apple (see pattern below) on the top.

Round 1: Ch 4 and crochet 13 dc in the first stitch of the 4 ch.
Round 2: "Sl st, 1 sc + 1 dc in one stitch, 2 dc in each of the next 4 sts, 1 dc + 1 sc in one stitch, 1 sl st" repeat ones.
